Yeah Yeah, I know it has been a long time since we have updated.... Sorry! Radaiton is finally over! The six weeks went by fast and Karsten did amazingly well. We developed some new friendships along the way and it was a bitter sweet goodbye. So now we move onto a new chapter in our life. The last day of being "zapped" we packed our bags and went to the Oregon Coast for a fun, fabulous, family vacation. We just got some goos news today; Karsten is scheduled for his trach to be removed on September 24th. By "Golly" I think it is really going to come out this time. His next MRI is scheduled for October 5th and we are getting positive vibes from the Doc's. So of course we will let you know what the results are. Karsten is physically doing great. He is finally where he was before the second resection of the tumor surgery. He walks all over the house with his push toy and now that radiation is over he has more energy to go out side and walk around in his walker. He is vocalizing alot more and knows how to say "No" especially when his sisters are smothering him. He still has some peralis on the right side of his face which will get better with time, he still has a great smile. Mentally, Karsten is doing wonderful. He loves the sign language Dvd's that we bought and will sit there and do the signs along with the video. He is very much a boy and loves to play with his trucks and cars. Spirtually, Karsten has a close relationship with his father in heaven and knows how to fold his arms and close his eyes when we have family prayer. He is such a sweet boy and loves to give kisses and hugs to just about anyone. We hope this finds you all well. We love ya!
